Ross's composition skills were honed during his musical training at The Conservatory of Music and Drama in Dublin, where he also honed his skills as a guitarist and pianist. He furthered his studies by taking jazz and composition courses at Newpark School of Music.
Ross's other notable achievements include serving as the composer and songwriter for RTE Television's Christmas Panto 'Once Upon A Time at Christmas', which aired during prime time on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Ross also achieved critical success with his first musical, 'New Fish: A Musical', which premiered with a sold out run at the Smock Alley theatre and is currently planning a second run in the near future.
Additionally, in 2014, Ross was chosen to participate in the prestigious IMRO/RTE/Filmbase Film Scoring Program, where he earned high praise for his work scoring the avant-garde silent film 'The Goblin Market' directed by Christopher Whiteside and Madeline Graham. The film was broadcasted on both RTE and BBC, and Ross had the privilege of writing for the 'RTE Concert Orchestra' as part of the program.
